CRX Sub installs in the spare tire well?
OK so yes I searched for this and didn't find a whole lot and yes I do plan on taking my spare tire out so please don't attack me for this. I have AAA, plus I need to have my whole hatch area accessable but still need some extra bass. Nothing ridiculous, but more bass than what the 4 speakers can provide.
I have heard that there was a reaaaallly low profile sub made by i think illusion audio but they went out of business, so that is not really an option (unless someone here has one they would sell me
). So I am wondering if anyone here knows of any subs that have a small enough mounting depth, etc.. so that they can be mounted in the spare tire well. I realize I'll have to make my own box and may do it out of fiberglass, maybe MDF if it's reasonable.
If anyone has pics of subs they've done in the spare tire well that would be excellent.

well i figured this was a good forum because i am asking specifically about the crx, but yeah i know its not an audio forum. sorry.
And as for the bass tubes, yeah those are cool and I would like to add them eventually, but I really doubt those are going to hit the lower bass notes that a sub is designed for.
