Well In my experience the gell works the best but you have to kill about 3 brushes on a set of rims pushing it around and getting it all over the rim. The spray is easier to distribute, but seems to be of poorer stripping quality. You can get most of this stuff at any body shop supply store like Sherwin Williams and others. If you cant find those anywhere Im sure that Pep Boys or another place like TSC will have something for you to get there.

Remember that not all of the strippers are the same. Some will eat away at rubber so read the back carefully to know exactly what you are getting. Just to be safe I highly suggest getting the tires off the rims in the beginning.

For a thread on how to polish you wheels when you have then stripped down check out 2poin2's thread here:

https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1259115

They will turn out like this if you follow them correctly.

I strip the valve covers i paint with the Air Craft remover Spray can.

I've used bother the Can and the straight bottled liquid, and I've found that for some reason the rattle can works better.

I buy my stuff at walmart or autozone...advanced doesnt carry the stuff in my town.

i just used Jasco (home depot) this weekend, the kind you put on with a brush. was stripping a front lip. omg that **** burns if you get it on your skin by accident lol. i really hate working with it, had to do about three coats, a lot of putty-knifing, and some sanding in the end to get it smooth, and then a lot of primering to get a clean result.

my DIY paintjob (just did front lip, did plastic sides and rears a few weeks ago)

sorry to hijack lol

oh if you can get it in a spraycan definetely do that!

i've got the liquid in a tin,
it's a bEOCH to use, it's more like a goop,
and you'll have to spread it around with ur fingers to get it everywhere it needs to be..

not cool, considering if you get the stuff on ur hands it will BUUUURRNNN
and good lord, if you have a cut or something.. head for the hills.

(no i dont spread it around without gloves )

theres no perfect way to get your tires covered, if you wanna be completely safe, get your tires unmounted and work with just the rim.
