I recently did an engine swap on my gen IV accord with a jdm f20a engine and I am still trying to figure out the specs on that engine, some say that it is SOHC and others say DOHC, i am puzzled. And i did also put some dc sports headers, short ram intake, GReddy exhaust, body kit and in the process of painting. Any other suggestions as to mods? Can anyone ballpark how many HP is under the hood?

 

I beleive the f20a1 is DOHC rated at 155hp.

 

I'm not for sure but I thought the f22ax's and the f20ax's were sohc, but I don't know for sure... I have usdm f22a1 and its sohc, but I'm not familiar with the f20ax's... You should be able to tell just by looking at the head.. dohc's are wider... or look at the timing belt to see how many pulleys or cam gears it has... that should answer your question.

Turbo. Or swap in an h22.

 

im kinda surpised that you were able to swap in a motor into your car, yet can't tell its cam layout....

f20a is a DOHC non-vtec motor....very little aftermarket support for that motor that i know of
