Hey guys,
I need your help with the swap of a b16c5 into my 94 civic coupe my brakes are terrible. So what would you guys suggest for me to do. The guy that did my swap suggested switching my whole brake setup to itr brake setup, including master cylinder and everything. What should I do and how much would it cost. Need to change quick cause I need to change my brakes anyways, so I might as well do it right. Thanks!

What do you mean your brakes are terrible?
I found my stock brakes work just fine for daily driving. Maybe you need to just replace your pads?

Yeah I do need to replace my pads and rotors, but I'm wondering if instead of just doing that if it would be better just to upgrade. Do you think my stock setup would be okay? I have disc in front and drum in the rear.
wait what? depends what u are doing with the car. I never drove your car so i dont know if its okay or not. Fix your pads and rotors. IF u want more then STOCK stoping power then upgrade silly.

Okay let me rephrase the question. I want to upgrade my brake system to something like an itr setup but I need to know all that i would have to replace and how much. If i could afford it then I'll upgrade. Thanks guys

Hey thanks chong, I think for now I'm just gonna have to keep my existing setup and just replace my pads and rotors. I would still like to know what i would need to replace to get the itr setup so i can start watch out for stuff. Thanks for the help fellas.
Best mod I have done so far is the Integra brake conversion. Brake Booster and Master Cylinder make a big difference as well,. Let me know if you need a Master Cylinder I am selling a GSR one
getting better pads would be a good first step while you decide whether or not to upsize. Axxis ULT's and Hawk HPS are very good aggressive street pads, i havent heard as much about Cobalt GT-Sport pads, but would still expect a similar level of performance.
since a full itr brake conversion costs alot, just do a set of good pads/rotors first and see how that does for you...if those still leave you wanting more then upgrade away
another thing is that your brakes can only stop as good as your tires will allow

yea, i don't suggest jumping straight to itr brakes (unless you have the money and want the bling) if you're just doing daily driving...if you want, you can even step it up to gsr disc brakes all around first...that'll be good enough for daily driving...road racing is another story....
