Default Why did you choose the ef/eg/ek for your drag car?

Hey guys. I was just at the import survival series #2 at englishtown and noticed a majority of the drag cars are eg hatches. I was wondering why? Why did you guys choose your ef,eg or ek. Seems to me an ef would be the fastest because its the lightest. Did you choose the car you have because you like the body style? It was cheap? Better frame geometry?

Also vote on what you have. Thanks

i run an EG, because it was the project that just evolved into a drag car. I bought it new in '93 and it has been getting more and more serious since then...
Thats my reason plain and simple.

ETD Racing offered me to race their EG hatch. Basically the reason behind my choice. I was racing a Mazda prior to that.

i have an eg. i actually didnt choose my car. when i got it 6 years ago, i needed daily transportation in a hurry and it was scheduled to be auctioned at a dealer i worked at. left it stock for 2 years. then once i got my house and got back on my feet from coming home from florida, i had a little cash left over from settling on my house. so i built it. there were no intentions to take my car as far as it has gone. it is kind of funny because i never pictured my hatch like she is now. he hee.

when i bought mine 6 years ago i was a musclecar fan, didnt know jack about imports. My uncle owned an auction and i was looking for a new car to replace my pos ford probe, came across a mint condition ex coupe, picked it up then it all began. First mod was on the way home, i stopped by autozone (when they just started selling that crappy ricer stuff) and picked up a strut bar and intake haha. Car has been through alot of changes along the way and now im glad i made the decision 6 years ago to buy a civic, i love it.

I got mine for $950 running. I needed a daily driver, but had a b16 sitting in the basement- so began the madness. I had a 94 ex coupe and a 90 accord at the time. The only one I still have is the eg race car, and it's sitting in a friends backyard right now . Larry

eg coupe and eg hatches are really nice. i fell in love with the body back when my older brother started racing and then evolved into loveing the coupe since everyone had the hatch. no i own two eg coupes. one a race car and the other a daily driver.... SVP DNR

My CRX is my first car ever, I've had it since '97. It was all I could afford in University.

1993 Civic Coupe.

I truly love the body style and always have. I have owned every body style possible and always go back to loving the 93-95 Coupe. I'm also known for my '94 back in the day (one of the first LS/VTEC's) so it's kind of a history thing.

Oh, and the car needs to match my HT name, of course!

89 civic hatchback

started out as a daily driver...then an accident 9-12-01 took it off the streets and i made it a race car.

i currently have a 94 coupe shell sitting in my driveway that will be the next race car project for late 2007.
