ok so i have an 88 hf rex. its losing weight like one of the olsen twins, and like the olsen twins it thinks its never light enough haha.

so are there any options for a smaller/lighter alternator? maybe one from another car with custom brakets? or possibly a race version? all i need to run is the engine components, charge a small battery, and headlights and tails. no fans, music, or anything else.

if anyone has experimented with lighter alts let me know what you have found, what weight savings you had, etc etc.

oh and right now im d series, but the plan is to move on to b series very shortly.
