Default Mini-Me FPR Interchangeability Question

I'm doing an A6/Z6 mini me. I bought a Z6 manifold, fuel rail, etc., but it didn't come with a FPR on it. Are the A6 and Z6 FPRs interchangable? I realize that they are not the same part number, but that doesn't mean they don't share flow rates. Does anyone really know? Wondering if I can just use my old one.

Already tried searching. Only found this - (https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=52797) - and there is no definite answer.

Thanks in advance.

I would say they would be pretty much the same. If the B16 and D16a6 are the same then you would have no problems.

I have a question for you. You have d16a6 mini me? Are you running P28 OBD1 and any advice. I have searched a little but nothing solid.

Or IM or email me back.
Thanks

Well, the swap isn't actually in yet, but I will be running a A6/Z6 mini-me with OBD1 conversion w/ P28. I highly recommend using the P28 rather than running OBD0 and a VTEC controller. Your car will run 100% better with the conversion. Simple VTEC controllers just engage the VTEC at a certain RPM. They don't check for other parameters like the P28 will. Also, the P28 has special maps for when the VTEC lobe is engaged. If you use a VTEC controller you will not have those, and your car's performance will suffer.

Put simply, the VTEC controller will cost a lot less than the OBD1 conversion and P28, but you get what you pay for.

If you have any other questions let me know. I've been studying this for quite some time and I'd be happy to help.

Ok cool (free bump)

I plan on running a6 block in process of rebuilding.
I plan on going the y8 route with y8 head gasket and timing belt. I will be using the a6 Intake manifold, fuel injectors throttle body yadayada a complete a6 Intake manifold.
I also plan on using the P28 ECU based on it sounds like the best one.
The only other thing I have seen is to take the oil jet out of the a6 block as the y8/z6 head will have one already.

Now my only other concern is the vtec oil passages. I have found a kit on a website selling the complete setup but it was 229.00 or something. Then you have to drill into the valve cover I think.
Is this a correct step for this mini-me swap or I would imagine there is a cheaper way with some home depot products as I was reading for a home made turbo oil line kit.
Enough rambling maybe I will PM you for some better links than I have.

Good. The A6 block has the best oil flow characteristics of any of the D blocks.

Someone has misinformed you. There is no need to run any oil lines. Those lines are used in B series head swaps, like the LS/VTEC. All you have to do to get your VTEC to work is pull the plug in the block like you mentioned earlier, and run two lines from the ECU to the VTEC solenoid and pressure switch. (This is less complicated than it sounds.) Your best bet would be to get the OBD0-OBD1 conversion harness from Rywire. It will help you out a WHOLE LOT with the necessary wiring. It also comes with very detailed, easy to understand instructions. It's the best conversion harness out there. I highly recommend it.

Any other Q's?
