door panel removal
Off of the top of my head I can't really describe it, but it's not hard. You may consider buying a Haynes manual (~ $14 at Autozone, Pepboys, etc), it'll give you step by step instructions including pictures.
Or the Helms manual, though that is a little more expensive.

damn no 1 here has it on PDF? or downloadable somewhere? people usually have thsese things up here. or.. .hmm well is it hard? i kinda need to do it tomorrow. lol
It is not hard. You need to take a look at the door panel and look for anything that looks "removable" as that may have a screw underneath.
When you remove all screws, which usually could be 3,4 or maybe 5 of them, you are ready to pull it off.
Remember to disconect cables attached to it when you are pulling it off.

...which is where a Haynes manual would be valuable. It will tell you exactly where the screws are, where the clips are, where the plugs that need to be disconnected are.

I just removed the panel on mine to check the power locks.
Remove the screw from behind the door latch.
push the plastic backing to the right.
You will see the latch attached by a metal rod.
carefully pry it from the plastic attachment and disconnect the power lock switch.
remove the screw from the bottom of the door arm rest. (inside the little gap where you pull the door back)
remove that section of the housing where the powerwindows are located by pry it up carefully.
They should snap up easily and then disconnect the power window switches.
Finally, working from the bottom of the panel, carefully pry open the panel and the retainers should come off easily. There are 4 on the bottom 2 one the left and right side and on or two on top. Be carefull not to break them because they are a pain top replace.
It's a little hard to explain w/o pics, especially the latch part which was hard WITH pics but apply a little common sense and removing the panel should be no significant problem.
