a/c and pwrstrng
i am currently rebuilding the motor in my full body dc. i was gonna leave a/c and powersteering in because i will still be doing alot of driving in it for the next 7 months or so and i am planning a complete strip and rebuild of the whole car next year. i had planned to wire tuck, remove abs, pwrstrng, and a/c then. the question is, would it be worth the difference if i removed a/c and pwrstrng and lived with the florida summer heat?? how much of a difference is it???
i used to live in florida and wouldnt want to be without AC. i guess it just depends if u like to drive with the windows down a lot. as for the power steering, ive driven a civic without it and it wasnt much different. but i heard that it is a little harder to get used to in the integras because they are heavier. hope i helped some
take them out! i live in los angeles cali where we're known for the heat and i have no a/c and have no problem. windows down, cruisin......... as for p/s delete, thats my next project....going to do it in a couple weeks. gives u a much better feel the road, and its a good workout lol
It depends on if you like luxuries, PS isn't too bad to be without unless your moving slowly in a tight area. Then it sucks
A/c Depends on the climate. If it rains alot or if there is intense heat or humidity. I would rather have a/c than ps.
But if this car is going to be a DD just keep them. Your not going to gain mad horsepower nor will the weight savings be that sufficent

my car is a daily driver. i guess its just personal preference. i know ac removal saves you about 47lbs, powersteering is about 17lbs. and p/s takes up about 8hp and ac takes nothing unless its on. IMO, 64lbs shaved off the FRONT end is a good thing and gaining 8+hp is a plus too....

Florida would not be the place to be without AC...here in Arizona is bad enough. However...the p/s is kinda up to you. My pump went out a few months ago and after a while you did not even notice the difference (except in tight spots). IMO
yeah i have them both removed on my gs-r and i live in florida too and its not that bad driving during the summer lol yeah it will get hot but if you cant take it then leave the a.c in. Power steering is a no brainer **** you should be able to drive without power steering lol YOUR A MAN RIGHT HAHA. Bes tthing to do is to close your sunroof and keep the windows down lol and do not!! turn on your air vents lol

I use to drive my 87 integra for 6 months without PS, Its just in small spots that it sucks, and if its freeing outin the winter morning, I almost broke my finger,
i didnt go to the ER but I think I broke it, but yeah, No PS in Freezing winter morning sucks,
But your in FL, so winter isnt a problem, mo A/C, I may keep my A/C just for the girls, but we'll see how that goes...
Not to jack ya thread but I have a question
Will just taking out P/S ruin your rack? I heard that it will, if you dont get a manual one....
