throttle angle sensor??

throttle angle sensor??
ok i was looking in the haynes manual and it says that its a throttle angle sensor im guessing this is the same as the throttle position sensor(tps)?? if so it says you cannot test it and to take it into the honda dealership for them to test it. i konw theres somehow to test this damn thing. any help would be greatly appreciated.

hanes manual 
it will tell you how to re-build a motor and tranny but will tell you testing a tps is too complicated for you hahah gota love it
anwyas tps check the middle wire with key on and good battery(i believe red and white) should be close to 0.0v at idle and 4.5 at WOT
