Default B16A Turbo Dyno + Pics

9:1 CP Pistons, Eagle Rods, GSR Cams, Victorx IM, t3/t4 60 trim .63 a/r EL Exhaust Manifold, 3'' DP/Exhaust, Omni Power Springs/Retainers, Tial 38mm.

Tuning at 17psi on 93 octane

382whp 268wtq

This car made great power, we picked up 40 whp redoing his dp/exhaust and switching to the victorx im at the same boost level, and it kept making power as far as we reved it.

This is all thanks to Synapse Motorsport

382whp 268wtq

I went from a 2 1/4 downpipe with Thermal research 2 1/4 exhaust to a 3in downpipe with 3in Kteller Stainless with no cat.

Definitely helped a lot. Last year I made 273whp on 12psi.

yes that is wheel horsepower!! haha it was a dynapack. Its corrected 15% so it will be equivalent to a dynojet within 1-2%.

nice, take it to 9k and break 400whp, those omnipower springs/retainers can take it.

um since ive had the motor its always been built. The kid who owned it before me boosted it stock at 14psi with same turbo as me except it was ball bearing and made 312 or 314whp <TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by ek_kid &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">nice numbers just wondering did you ever get numbers on the stock boosted b16?

The reason we didn't go that high was becuase i have Eagle rods. I was a little scared to crank them that high with that much power. I might upgrade to Manley rods next year and then crank it till it stops making power.

If I cranked it yes. Also that dyno chart is at 8400rpm's my rev limiter is at 8600 so I might pick up another 5-10whp. It all comes down to me cranking it. I'm scurrred to crank those Eagle's haha...

It is a 1.6L though not a 1.8L. My friend on his 1.8 made 405whp (same turbo) with 16psi so I'm sure another .2L would help too.

I don't see you having any problems revving to 9k on Eagle rods. I run my ls/vtec to 8900 with Eagle rods and I have a friend that runs his b16 to 9.3k on Eagle rods at that power level with no problems.

Very nice power

I'm also a 1.6 w/9:1 and on 14psi I made 410whp/250tq on a similar turbonetics turbo. pump gas as well...

How long have you two been running your motors like that? Do you know your exact horsepower? I also saw your time in your sig. Were you on slicks if so what size and what was your 60ft time?

I have around 18000 miles on my motor and the other guy has around 22000 on his. I was on 24.5x8.x13 MT slicks with a horrible 1.9 60', this was on a b16 tranny, I have since upgraded to a GSR tranny. The other guy ran 11.30@123 on 22" slicks and made 387 whp @ 18 psi (his name is beaver on here)

I'm going to the track next week to test out a new intercooler I put on my car (it made 416 whp @ 18 psi with the old one which was WAY too small). So hopefully I will have some better numbers. As far as the turbo setup, I'm running an SC6176E with a Drag manifold

These hp #'s were on a dynojet with proportional load brake.

I'm running a B16a tranny with OBX diff. The gearing is short but I've seen 10 second turbo cars with them so I'm gonna give it a shot.

Thanks a lot for the feedback from everybody. I'm really happy to finally have a decent car together. I just hope she lasts the season.

The b16 tranny works great with a b16 since you are revving so high. I mainly switched because my car is a daily driver and it ran way to many rpms on the interstate. I'll let you know what kind of a difference it makes to my 1/4 mile times.

Is the motor sleeved?
