I know that the CAI will give more power...as slight as it may be...but which one is louder? Short ram or CAI?

Short ram=Low end power
CAI=High end power

If you're buying an intake just for its sound, just buy a no name brand one then....They will do the same

I had a AEM CAI...but I got rid of it. It doesnt have any significant gains. I had a previous 99 base prelude with a short ram intake and it was loud as **** and sounded nice.

I'm going to purchase a polished short ram intake.

Thanks

you're right, 0 gains. 0.4 seconds off my ET and 3mph increase in my trap speed from just the CAI is worthless

How is the HKS Super Mega Flow intake? Is it just a filter or piping as well? Anyone have a pic?

intake for sound = buster. If you buy a cheap one you will be sorry later. AEM is at least a good product...regardless of the gains. You buy cheap and it might suck the filter right throught the inlet tube.

he he he

LMAO

Why not just use a black drainage pipe (the one that bends with the small holes in it of course which will function like a bypass valve) from Home Depot with a hanes tube sock stretched over the opening? I'm sure it would be loud.
