Default which clutch should i use?

i have a 88 crx hf tranny and im going to put it int o my 90 crx. can someone give me the spline counts on the shafts for all years?

use a clutch disk from a 87 prelude 2.0 si and you will be good to go

well, 88 has different splines and a smaller flywheel. 90 has a larger flywheel the prelude mentioned has the same size flywheel as the 90-91 civic/crx, but has the same splines as the 88 civic/crx.

so umm...use my 90 crx clutch but get a flywheel from a prelude? is that all i need? remember the tranny is an 88.

I believe they have 26 or 27 splines, you will have to count, or just search. The different splines have been covered before.

You can use all of the 90 clutch stuff (flywheel, pressure plate), but you have to use a 85-87 Prelude 2.0/86-89 Accord clutch disc because it is the same size as the 90-91 Civic disc (212mm) and it has the right spline count for the 88 style tranny (21 splines). You can get any kind you want...for example i know ACT sells their stuff seperately so you can mix and match this stuff to fit your car.
