Default FS: '92 Civic Hatchback -- Painted, Swapped and Boosted! Super fast and 100% reliable

Preface:
Today I am reluctantly putting my baby up for grabs by my fellow Honda enthusiasts. I have loved this car as much as any man can love an object and will cry when it leaves my garage but nevertheless the time for me to sell it has come. I'd like to start and conclude with a few paragraphs of information with the essential information bulleted in the middle. It's important to note that although the car is modified it was maturely driven, never abused. So, without further ado I'll get right into it…

Description:
The car is a 1992 Honda Civic with an unknown number of miles on the chassis on the account of its current gauge cluster being the third to be used in the vehicle. The car was formerly owned by a friend who took great care of it and entered into my possession nearly 2 years ago. I had originally planned to make it a spray-paint, junkyard turbo rig but the perfectionist in me would not even let me begin to follow that course.

I built this car with all of the best components available on the market . Furthermore, I purchased nearly every part on the car brand new (including a brand new turbo, injectors, fuel pump, etc. etc. etc) from reputable vendors including Wired Speed Labs and Lovefab INC. I have receipts and invoices for all of the major purchases and can include them with the sale. The car was built right; every bolt was torqued to specification, every joint greased, v-band clamps used throughout, etc.

The car drives absolutely perfectly . The suspension is tight, the steering is fluid. Out of boost on the highway the car gets ~ 40mpg and I have no reservations at all about taking it on long trips – no overheating, no problems at all! Once in boost she really goes! That's all I'll say for now, read the below for more information on that

The above parts add up to over 14,000$ in modifications alone – not including the cost of the vehicle itself and all of the misc. expenses not listed!

The entire setup (turbo stuff, clutch, differential, etc. etc. etc.) has 2,3xx miles on it as it was only a weekender vehicle for me. All of the fluids in it are freshly changed – ~300 miles on the Mobil 1 Full Synthetic motor oil and filter, ~200 miles on the coolant, and ~2000 miles on the ATS transmission fluid (made specifically for clutch type limited slip differentials). Furthermore, the timing belt was done ~8000 miles ago so that is fresh, too. I put the differential in myself with the supervision of my manual transmission instructor – operates absolutely flawlessly and is one of my favorite modifications!

As to how the car drives…
I truthfully cannot begin to tell you what an exciting car to drive this is. No matter what my mood or how long its been since I've driven it, the sound of the turbo spooling followed by hard pulling and the amazing symphony to my ears that is DOHC VTEC never ceases to put a wide smile across my face. The car is just ridiculously fast , faster than you'd ever expect it to be – it's a freak! I'm no street-racer, but I have given a pull against a few cars and can confidently say that this car is quicker than EVOs, STis, Turbo S2000s, and more!! Weighing in at 2040 pounds after I removed the aforementioned interior bits and making FULL BOOST (10.5PSI) by only 3800RPM on the account of twin-ball bearing GT2871 turbocharger it's an absolute thrill to drive.

Notes
A few things to notice – one is that in the pictures there is no air-filter on the vehicle. I did run an air filter at all times but removed it for the pictures as it got quite dirty sitting in my garage over the winter. Furthermore, there apears to be slight rust on the manifold -- I had not noticed it before the pictures were taken but it's due only to the car having been run right after a hand wash; 30 seconds with a wire brush and it would be shiney again. The same is true for the exhaust, the pictures do not show what beautiful artwork it really is. In person, it truely is awe inspiring, its just hard to capture with a camera under a car. The car does not have a radio or speakers, the locks are also not installed on the vehicle and will not be included with the sale as they went missing when the car was painted, and the door jams/engine bay are not painted. The heater core and fan blower are not installed at this time.

Finally, please note the short video which I have linked to below. Just a couple of shots of my civic racing an H22A powered accord with mods and having a bit of fun in the country. Note: The CEL was for a code 10 (IAT) which at that time was not hooked up, but because the vehicle is tuned to run closed loop at all times it does not effect the motor at all. A new IAT has since been installed, anyhow! Also, the dash was not complete at that point. Aside from the stero, it is now! Please E-Mail me (address below) for the true VIN.

Test Drives
There will be no test drives given. The reason for this is that I have already outlined the performance of the vehicle and have videos displaying its power, therefore I see no reason to give out joy-rides to anyone except the person who has already given me the non-refundable deposit. If you are local and I am available I would be happy to start it up in the driveway for you, though.

Final Note
As a final note, I'd just like to say that I know that as soon as the car sells I'll instantly regret it, but my hope is that she goes to a great new owner. Nevertheless, I'll offer 30 days of phone help in case you have any questions but after that I'd really just like to have my memories. I can't say that I babied the car 100% of the time but I sure did take care of her and used all of the right bits to make it reliable. The new owner will NOT be disappointed. Many, many people can vouch for this car! Also, please note that I reserve the right to remove this auction at any time and will not sell the car unless I am satisfied with the final amount!

Vehicle Location:
The vehicle is located in Kalamazoo, Mi which is off of I94 2.5 hours from Chicago and 2 hours from Detroit
