i have a d15 on a 75 shot..im about to perform a mini me head swap...i have the 4 speed tranny...would it be better to get the 5 speed or are the gears shorter in the 4 speed for track racing???

the 4 speed is an economy part meaning it has longer gears to keep you lower in the RPM band so you are not using as much fuel. So the SI 5 speed tranny would be a way better choice.

 

5 speed all the way just make sure you get the si tranny with the smaller final drive

You can't just throw a hydro tranny onto a car set for cable.

Just snag a SI tranny they can be had dirt cheap

 

$100 for an Si tranny in my area.
