Finding bad ground
I just put my car back on the road but I am having a problem with my battery draining itself when the car is off. I put a multimeter in between the neg battery terminal and the negative battery wire as stated in my helms manual and have found that something is draining my battery(short in wiring system). I unplugged the alternator to see if that was the prob but I am still getting the drain. If anybody could give me some tips or pointers I'd appreaciated greatly as I am sick of having to boost my car when I need to go somewhere. My car is a 90 CRX SI if this helps.
i had the same problem with my car and there was one cell inside the battery that was "dead"/ connected to ground so the battery was draining it self from power.
that was also after taking the car out from long time storage

Til you find it, for now you can install a terminal with a power cut off on it. They are like $10 bucks.
As for finding the short, Keep the voltmeter hooked up the way you have it and start pulling the fuses one at a time til you find the one with power. That will get you to the circut. Then just troubleshoot the circut.
Good luck Mr. D
