How fast can you get an integra to run at the strip. i was just wondering if one could beat a 3000 GT. See my dad has a 3000GT VR4 Spyder that is runing 350 hp to all 4 weels and 479 at the engine. he is on 3SI and him and his frinds go to the strip and race i just want to know if i would be able to run with them when i get my teg fixed.

I guy I have met runs 10.0 @ 149 mph in a streetable type r. If you have enough money you can do anything. You'll need 28" slicks and about 800whp to run this unless you cut all of the weight out of your car.

LMFAO!!! You should see him run. It is the cleanest baddest Integra ever IMO. JDM front real 98 type R. Fenders are flared out to fit the slicks. When he runs the tires spin through 4th gear!!! 28" SLICKS!

 

GSRMORRIS had a vr4 and he was running low 13's with just a downpipe and a aftermarket BOV

No, you will not. The 3000GT can make a lot of power, however it is very heavy. Regardless of that fact, a stock Integra cannot run with it. I'm assuming your dad is running mid 12s to low 13s and you'll be doing low to mid 16s (I'm also assuming that you have an LS and not a GSR).

 

I beieve it. VR-4's are fast.

VR-4's are fast. Times stated are roughly correct. I have a buddy that is building one. Full borla exhaust, upgraded turboS, intake, i think an RFL BOV, SAFC, some type of computer data logging, and now after the "forced upgrade" port & polished heads with ferra rockers, springs, valves, ect. before the head work he was running low 12's. we'll see what he runs this year.

If this is the case, then is 800whp really needed to hit a 10.0? Maybe 500whp and traction could yield similar times. To the original poster: find out what times your dad runs, and let us know. A 12 second daily driven Integra is not that hard to build. An 11 second Integra is possible, and could still be a daily if done right.

With enough time, money, and know-how anything is possible. I have raced one vr-4 and won. It was a close race. I think his weight really hurt him, those things are heavy

Who said you need 800whp to run 10? most guy running 9 with 600-700whp, it all in the suspension and drive.

As to the OP you would need to piece together a basic turbo kit to make around 250-300whp and you will give your dad a run for his money

 

You are right I worded that wrong. He has dynoed 800 whp. He runs 10.0 with less power.

You are an idiot. I know a guy that has a full interior gsr that went 10.1 on 26" slicks....with only about 680whp. You only need 800 if you don't know how to drive.
