Default EG hatch 1/4 window molding replacement.

Any body every pulled the 1/4 windows out and changed the molding? I was wondering if this window could be removed without breaking it. Anybody got a how to, or some helpful hits? This would be on a eg hatch fellas.

Are you talking about the moulding at the bottom of the windows on the doors? If so, I just scraped the old rubber off the top, masked off the rest of the car and painted them black. I also removed my wiper arms and painted thos black too. I even put a coat of clearcoat on them to make 'em look even better.

Nope not the doors. I have the new molding for that. I'm talking about the windows behind the doors, the 1/4 windows.. The ones you can't roll down.

I'd imagine you would use "piano wire" i think thats what its called. basically thick fishin wire and try to get one end from the outside in or inside to out. and once you got it thru pull the wire to cut the glue holdin the window on. and once the window is off try using a chisel or a blade to scrap off the glue on the window and the same for the car but carefully so u wont expletive up your paint. Don't quote me on this cuz i havent done this yet but id imagine thats how u would do it. that or either with a heat gun but id think it be easier to do it with the wire. Peace

And if you figure it out do a write up if u can. Peace! by the way nice car!

I was thinking about getting quotes from a few window shops and just see how much they'll charge.
