nope...vtec is 4400 on gsr...then secondaries at 5800 (tahts when u hear it)...w skunk2 cams get a valve train upgrade...and optimal vtec will probably be 4800-5200 around there

ok well i have skunk2 cams and i set mine at 5200. that was where my itr cams were dyno'd at when i had them. I know the skunk's are more aggressive, but im going to keep it there until i get on the dyno again.

BTW, I love these cams!

i plan on getting the skunk program. I have heard nothing but good results from that program. It runs rich, but a vafc can take care of that!

You don't need to upgrade your valvetrain with the stage 1 cams. Why are you going with stage 1 anyways? They're all the same price - go for stage 2 (which you WILL have to upgrade your valvetrain for). If you upgrade your valvetrain you'll be able to take it up to 9500 no problem. Which, in that case, I recommend you set your vtec point up higher than 5200. Only a day on the dyno will tell for sure though.

Some other things to consider:

Higher compression pistons
Headwork while you're getting the cams in
