why dont you just buy springs for $150-$200 brand new? Or used ones for less than $100.

you can't just wait? cutting you springs is not a good thing to do and you shouldn't really do it on a car that is worth any money at all.

We have a ghetto-as car club out here that is a huge fan of spring-cutting; it might as well be their claim to fame, and i also have a couple friends whose fathers smoked a little crack right before they made them that did what you are talking about doing. The reason you dont is mainly because the spring is designed to be that length based on your cars weight and specifications. You take a big chunk out and your ride is all effed-up. Plus you might end up cutting too much off one or the other ending up with some ice-cube 3 wheel motion sag, not to mention that's really ghetto. That's just what i have seen from a lot of people that have done it, but to each their own. All i'm saying is that everyone i have ever seen that has done it has regretted it, and is bouncing and scraping around town trying to save enough money for real springs.
