Did it come in two differen't models?, or at least i think it does. I got it and it seems like good condition but idk if it's short gears or what, is their any way to tell?.

 

Well i already know it's not LSD, but could it still possible be a short gear version?. Isn't their somekind of stamp on the tranny somewhere that could be a sign of what model it came out of?. I already know/found out my D series tranny i got is a SI by the p20 b000 stamp on it, don't b series have stamps like these or am i confused?.

y80 is a gsr tranny not geared as low as a true b16 tranny

 

Yeah but isn't their a slow y80 and a fast y80?...

 

Their is too much misleading info on the y80 transmissions. From what i understand their are links to places saying the y80 only came in GSR or special edition, but other places saying they only came in ls/rs/gs regular model integras. Some are saying they have the same gears anf final drive as of any other basic b16 tranny, but others saying it's the longest one, whats true and whats the deal?.
