Default Whew! :O:O:O

Driving home from school today, trying to beat the snow from coming in. Ended up getting caught right in the blizzard of it trying to drive my gsr:O. Less then half a mile from my house, going around a corner less then 5 mph, lose control on the snow, which at that time started to stick on the ground. So starting to slide into the side of the road almost into a 90 degree ditch and THANK ALLAH (not really) the side of my car hits a "Warning, Icey Roads" sign and it gets caught on the sign saving me what could of been 1000's of dollars of damage. So i ended up getting towed out and drive the rest of the way home. THANK YOU "Warning, Icey Roads" Sign. just thought id share this story, first time up in the snow and all , was kinda scary too.

p.s. the sign was almost ripped out of the ground, so i just thought id take it home as a good luck charm, but dont tell CAL Trans

when you have enough experiance driving in the snow you will find it fun... i only was worried one time when it was snowing and that was when i had to go down a hill and some moron walks right out in front of my car as im slowing down and i start honking and they give me the finger... then realize i cant stop on a dime in the snow, it was funny as hell, i rolled down my window and cussed him out for being a moron going 2 MPH, haha

Or.....you learn how to drive on ice and snow.. It's not that hard..

Go slow.. give yourself time to stop....

I'm not a liar.. nor a driving expert... but it's not hard to drive on ice.

How much damage was done to your car from hitting the sign. And post pics. Of the car and the sign.

I always smile when I pass a SUV or truck that slid off the road, while I cruise along just fine in my little Integra with stock tires.
Three rules to driving in snow 1) No abrupt turning or lane changes 2)give yourself plenty of stopping distance and 3) Easy on the speed even in sweeping curves.

Oh yeah, we get snow in Buffalo....
