Opinions on zex kit
Just wondering if anyone is using a zex wet kit. I have searched the forum and couldnt find anything so I am sorry if I missed something and I am reposting an old topic. My dealer gave me a 24mon 24kmi warranty on my powertrain because I have been having overheating problems(headgasket) and it has been back to them 4 times and they are just now putting a head gasket on it. Now that I have this warranty I am thinking about puting a zex wet kit on it because I dont care if I blow it up. The warranty is good at any repair shop and I have a friend that owns a repair shop and he said if anything happens he will put in the claim and give me the check and I can do the work. Just wondering if anyone else is running this and if so how you made out.
I had a ZEX kit on my civic. The dry kit. It was FUN AS HELL. easy to install, fun to use.
I threw the number one rod after 4 bottles.... in all honesty, I deserved to throw a rod. I was running D15B7 block, with a D16Z6 head that was ported and polished, ( furthermore running a 1.6 head on a 1.5 block and pistons ups the compression), then I threw on a 50 shot of nitrous, I was asking for a blown motor..... and got it.. but let me tell you... it wouldn't of had it any other way, that car was quick....

I don't know that I consider any nitrous kit to be "safe". Any kit can turn a subtle engine problem into a catastrophe.

nos gives an unnatural edge to the "game". its like illegal steriods for a car. quite unnatural.
turbocharged/supercharged on the other hand is like eating healthy and working out. quite natural.
