Starting WYO TECH in october..
Our machinist has a son that goes there and he loves it. He remarks that they are very strict and **** about things like being on time to class, and being dress appropriatly. From what he says, it sounds to be a very intensive school (Classes running all day from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM)
I dont go to wyotech I go to uti in phx az. onething no one ever told me about is that most auto schools dont give you a degree when your done. I think the phx uti is the only school that will. something about the state laws. Im not saying that uti is better at this or that just something you might want to think about.

I just graduated. My advice to you is not to go. I wish to god i would never have gone. It was NO where near what i expected it to be. All you hear the entire time you're going there is how imports suck and how the all mighty chevy 350 is god!! Give me a ****** break. We had debates in my chassis fab/high perf class all the time about how much bullshit this school is. 22k and you cant even leave with a degree of any kind unless you take ASM(Applied Service Management). The instructors in my high perf class know nothing about imports, supercharging, turbocharging. I was extremely dissappointed to say the least. I wish I just would've stayed at Wiseco and gone to a local auto school and gotten the same education. There are many perks to that school but not enough for 22k. Those 9 months were some of the most miserable times in my life. Believe me everyone i know that was in my class(52 kids) thought the exact same way. Not only that the guy that comes to your house to recruit you is full of ****, it was all lies. Mostly everything he said that would happen was bullshit. Yeah they definitely shape you to be professional but at the same time everyday in class kids were being called all kinds of names and the classroom got out of hand many times which pissed me off really bad. The first 8 months all i heard was how imports suck and they would say "I bet you don't even have a boosted car." Then I brought the car and everyone was droolin.............F*^*(* bullshit. My advice.......go to a local school, work, save your money, and stay at home if you can.
Sorry for the bad info but i wish someone would've told me this I would be much richer right now.
