Default stock itr tranny vs gsr tranny w/ jdm fd

hi all, I have a bit of a quandry I need your help with. I currently have a gsr tranny with a jdm final drive and itr lsd. I need to do a rebuild or put a new tranny in. I like the feel of the gearing I currently have. Putting a brand new tranny in, I feel, would be the most convenient and worry free solution, but I also don't want to have longer gearing. Does anyone know how the stock usdm itr tranny compares to a gsr tranny w/ jdm fd? Is the gearing longer on the stock itr? Will it feel differently? I have looked at the gear ratios but don't understand them. please help

the biggest misleading info is that gsr gears are further apart from the b16/itr tranny. yeah, 1st and 2nd are further apart (RPM wise), but that's it

The gear ratio is a little shorter on the itr tranny compared to the gsr.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by HONDA RR &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">The gear ratio is a little shorter on the itr tranny compared to the gsr.</TD></TR></TABLE>

I never said it didn't have shorter gears. If you would have read my page you would have seen that.

itr tranny has a shorter 2nd gear.
gsr tranny has a longer 2nd gear. the longer 2nd gear carrys it further into the longer 3rd gear. the longer 3rd gear carrys it further into the longer 4th gear. the longer 4th gear carrys it further into the longer 5th gear.

the rpm drops on the itr tranny from 2nd-5th aren't as tight as the gsr. Now it's VERY VERY minute, but gsr is still closer together
