Default C-pillar Bar for DA fitment

does anyone have a pic of a C-pillar bar in their DA??
when it is installed, is there still head room for the back seat passengers?

im looking to get one off e-bay for like $30 just checking to see how these look, i can't find any pics on 90-93 integras (found a ton for 94+)

thanks

i got an ebay one too, it fit fine. everyone that sat in the back of my car used it as a head rest. it actually even helped my steering a little too (very small amount). I'll try to get some pics up soon.

kinda of not the best investment though, more for looks than anything. but for 30 bucks, way not, i know people that buy stickers for that much.

i dont' knwo the name, but it was cheap. i got it for 15 bucks, then 10 bucks for shipping. you have to get the one for a da though, because my buddy tried to put a 94+ one and it didn't work.

yeah, but i usually don't have people in the back most of the time. the only reason i got back seats is to hide my sub. if it wasn't for that i probably would have it gutted out by now.

they're definitely annoying for the people in the backseat...metal bar's can't be too comfy haha but my solution is they make padding for rollbars...get a piece long enough and color of ur choice. it's probably still not comfy but atleast the injuries wont be as bad?

i dont have the padding on in this pic tho

also the bar's being held on by cotter pins..keep a set of pliers in ur car or something and u can take the bar off anytime. the bar's also adjustable by twisting it so u'll have some play with fitment

i think you would really notice the difference if you drive your car hard.. which i do.. so its, a good investment for me..

I would NOT get that bar if you have the rear seats in. At no point should ANYONE be in the back seat if that bar is in use.

It is NOT safe at ALL.. one small fender bender, and whoever is in the back could be dead. I dont think you want that.

If you do get it, remove the rear seats just for safety

Before I built the cage, people would always hit there head on mine... but then again usually I'd drop a gear, just because I am evil and like to see people in pain.

haha thats fucked up but funny, but ive heard they tell you not to put people in the back seat with it in

that probably why they make quick release ones so you can keep your back seats, and take the bar out when you have passenegers

remove seat or remove the bar...it'll probably be easier to remove the bar when need to

Yes

If you have this bar installed and you get into anything, it's over.
I dont care if its padded or not.

If you have passengers simply take the 5 min to take it out.

Or you could just live with the fact that just going down the street someone hit you and your friend died....

Total cost of the cage to build was right around 50 bucks. I bought a 24 foot section of 1 3/4" .095 tubing for $27, The flanges for bolting it down (1 3/4" 2 hole exhaust flanges $1.05 my cost), Paint (about 8 bucks), and hardware (another 8 or so bucks). Oh, and a pack of Smokes ($4.62) 7 Hours of build time (putting it in, pulling it out, putting it in, pulling it out).... It took so long mainly because I made sure all the welds were completely cool before I put it back in, because I wasnt about to try and melt my headliner. Painting it took forever, and I was at my work, so I was partially helping the new guys work on cars.... And took an excessive amount of smoke breaks.

And to anyone who thinks its pointless, pound it out your ***, because my car handles ALOT better than before.... It is stiffer than **** in corners now.

The best part about building it was free access to a pipe bender, and GOOD welders to use at work. I wish we would have had our TIG there... but then my boss would have been welding it, cuz I dont have the patience with that thing... All in all, completely worth it, only shitty thing is, no one ever toys with me around town anymore.
