you're going to have to do some custom wiring. You need to go to a Mobile car stereo shop and ask for the harness that goes into a 99-00 civic radio. NOT the one that goes into the car. Metra part number is 71-1721
Then you need to get a harness for a 96-98 civic that goes into the car. NOT the radio. Metra part number is 70-1720
After that it's simply matching up the wires and crimping or soldering them together. Make sure you get the unlock code for the radio too.

you need a reverse harness and then a harness to plug onto your stock wiring.. post this in the audio/video section and someone will show you pics and links where you can get them.
**edit ok i found this link for you. you need 71-1720

i duno you location but if your near 714
try h-auto.com or any other honda wrecking yard.
also i think you can use a 92-95 harness since si cd player plugs right into those cars.

yeah pretty much. Its a good thing you've got a hatch or it would have been a lot more complicated. Especially since your car is a 1996.
