Default can eclipse manifold turbo set up fit on crx si?

my girlfriend wants to turbo her car.. and she has a 88 crx si.. bone stock with 215xxx miles on it.. i personally own a talon awd.. but i have heard that people has been taking stock eclipse t25 turbo, manifold, injectors, smic and slapping them on SOHCs... just so that my girl would get a little more power... i love her crx.. i kinda want to make it fast also.. if anybody has any input on this.. i would gladly appreciate it.. oh.. and how much can that motor handle? i just want to push about 6 lbs or maybe 8lbs.. i have all the parts in my house.. soo it wouldnt cost me much... oh.. would an safc work to tune the fuel..???

you can use the injectors *with her resistor box*, smic if you like but a fmic would be better, t25 turbo like you said. but as for the manifold you would need one from a hf crx or a std civic and then get a hf/std to t25 adapter plate. you can find those on ebay. safc with a 12:1 fmu and a missing link would run 6-8lbs fine but i would research on some off the free engine management that is out there. i personaly use hondata ( which is nowhere near free lol ) but alot of the free stuff is crome, neptune, turbo edit... and id rebuild that motor first before boosting on it with those high miles.

From what I know, installing a DSM manifold on D or B series motor is a myth.

ive never eaven heard of that the std/hf manifold would be your best bet...

and you can run an fmu but your car will run like **** when you get it up and running the best thing to do is just go get a socketed ecu and get it tunned

People have used the 4g63 manifolds on the f22's (old accord motors) with some modification, but not on b or d series...

You're 100% correct, but I think with a slight boring or redrilling of one of the manifold bolt holes, it fits on 4th/5th gen Accords and misc. F-series motors.

The DSM manifold will not fit the SOHC. The turbo itself will work fine with an HF/STD manifold and adaptor plate all day long. Also, some cars actually do run perfectly fine with an FMU on low boost, but turboedit would be better.

No, the stock fuel system would not consistantly put out enough fuel to properly tune the car. You could tune the mixture with turboedit, or even run 440s and tune with an SAFC, but you couldn't just make a fuel pressure adjustment with the regulator and plan on tuning a turbo.

soo.. i would need 450cc .. an safc? would i need a fpr? or an upgraded fuel rail.. also would i have to rebuild the motor with all thoes miles? only going to boost 6lbs.. or so... just a little more umph... but i want to check the compression if its still good? before i do anything.... is there like a mas or something? how does it know the air flow? where can i tap the oil line to feed the turbo?

am i missing something:
450cc injectors
safc
turbo manifold
turbo
downpipe..
fmic , all necessary piping..

I guess I do not see why you could just run a FMU. I am not sure why people are talking about it trunning like crap. If that is the case I would imagine that the FMU is not set up correctly. As long as you are not trying to achive and crazy numbers. a FMU would be fine

The motor can handle around 200-225 whp with good tuning..Go past that and its a gamble..Also before you boost do a compression check to make sure the engine is ok..

Do yourself a favor and dont run the safc with 450cc injectors..Look into a program called turboedit..

You would need this all together-
turbo
manifold
downpipe
chargepiping
intercooler (option but reccomened)
blow off valve optional (option but reccomened)
turbo oil feed and return lines with neccesary fittings
Water lines since the t25 is watercooled
Fuel management..(Turboedit,dsm 450 injectors, maybe bigger intank fuel pump)..
Clamps,couplings,boost gauge,,etc..
What am I missing?

For real though you say you only want to boost 6psi..so you can just get 12:1 fmu, high flow inline pump and check valves and have it running..not at its best but good enough..
