Just wanted to thank everyone for their support on Hondatech and show the outcome. Got my crx 2 1/2 weeks later out of the police impound (250 bucks). Im not sure what to do with the car now since it doesnt run anymore.

Hood took forever to open since they pulled the cable out


They couldn't take the wheel locks off so they decided to be ********


Can't see it but my clutch pedal is bent almost all the way around

Glad you got it back,,but thats just rediculous what they did..They sprayed the whole car black.? Are you gonna rebuild,find a new project or just leave hondas alone??

A couple weeks ago there was a guy that posted his crx stolen in socal and they sprayed rice and jdm all over..Something new I guess..Maybe its the same people..

lol ..my car is black they paint all the white stuff. Not sure if i want to rebult, the guy at the impound lot said another crx was also there and is gunna sell it for $800 in 2 weeks so i might just pick that up. Looks alot better than mine and was dual cam.

 

Thats good to hear that everything is going to work out..Looks like they didnt take much so what I would do is completly strip the the stolen one and sell the parts or just keep them..**** or just make the old crx a full race car or something..

And with the new one get some kind of gps tracking system and an alarm with paging and some loud loud *** sirens..

 

seems like alot of this stuff happens in cali.. glad i dont live down there.

sorry to hear about your car. You can always take air craft remover to your wheels to get the paint off and then respray them or whatnot...

 

what kind of locks did u have, i want some of those if they work as well as ures did.

 

I think the lug locks were 6 bucks at autozone. The thing is I thought it would be easy to take them off if you use a socket and hamer it into the lug locks and it would be off. So im not sure

have the group n's powdercoated white than find someone with the black/red group n's and see if they wanna trade...

Stolen cars in the PA area have seemed to get worse, i just wanna set up a "sting" Let my car sit out in a mall parking lot, and hang out in another car close by, and before they drive off block my car in and kill the fools......

 

Dude, sorry to hear about that. I hope the people that did that learn their lesson some day. That's pretty messed up to steal a car and just vandalize this **** out of it. Did some people have it out for you or was this just random?

 

a car around me was stolen and recovered, stripped as usuall, and theives spray painted "Thanks" real big across his windsheild, thats just a low blow

 

I seems to that Cali is the big import theft capital on the west coast, and PA is the import theft capital on the eastcoast in the past year. Sucks, try to keep your cars in a garage, or get those wheel boots, and keep your car off the side streets. Glad to see you got your car back.

Hey newbiecrx, you say your clutch pedal is bent. Did you have an autolock on it?
The way mine locks, I don't think you can remove it by bending it... But I put mine on the brake pedal - probably not as good as on the clutch, but it just didn't fit right on the clutch.
