Different between hondata ecu k20 r Vs. stock k20 r ecu
i was wondering whats the differences between hondata ecu for the k20r and the k20r stock ecu. i heard that when you do a swap you need to have a hondata ecu. but im just wondering for a future project i have in mind thnx guys
they modify your stock ecu and add an IC board on to it with an firewire USB cable out. You can tell the difference if you actually open up the casing and you can see the USB port as well.
Hondata normally put a big fat sticker over the modified ECU.. at least they did for mine.

k20r ecu, you can just plug it in and your car will start...it doesnt have that immobilizer crap like the k20a2...most people *like me*will use a k20a ecu just to get the car running, but you should opt for an ems or kpro anyways..
