I got cans of r12. Do i need recharge oil'? whats it for, and does it go in the same port that freon goes....the low pressure correct. Anything else needed for a recharge (got the tap and check valve)

you only need to add oil if the system lost some or you replaced the compressor, evap, condensor or acumulator. yes it goes in the service port unless you changed the compressor in that case you fill it direct.
