Default 94 accord ex. 4cyl short ram installation

i bought a short ram from AEM and on the instructions it says that i have to drain the coolent and all that mess..............why? and is it necessary?

You need to drain the coolant because a hose replaces the stock honda piece which is two hoses connected together, I have a picture on this forum somewhere. Instead, you have to replace the coolant hose and the hose that goes from the intake the engine (I forget the name of that part). You don't have to do it, but it does not give as clean of a look because you will have an extra hose not connected anything, which isn't a big deal.
