I need a set of cam caps for my B16a1. Having trouble finding them local...does any one have any I can buy or advise on where to go??TIA

 

I'd try ebay
B16 cam caps just isn't something you'll find alot of by themself.

 

I know, but i figured if there was one place with people who might know...this is it.

did you check if the stealership sells them seperatley?they came with my headgasket kit

 

I went to honda a couple days ago & said that they were part of the head & i would have to buy the whole thing. It is strange that they would come with a head gasket kit. are you sure we are talking about the same parts

 

I thought cam caps were supposed to match up to their corresponding spots on the head.....I've heard it's not OK to mix & match caps from other heads (or main caps for that matter) without having them checked for out-of-round. I guess cam caps wouldn't be as critical as mains, but that sticks in my mind for some reason.

And no they don't come with a headgasket LOL....

no they didn't

Yeah, I know Honda will not sell just cam caps, it must be a full head. They don't sell them seperately because they are supposed to be "head specific" per say. That's why I said you'll have a very hard time finding them.

 

sorry i thought he meant cam seals.
