Default Driving with out a cross member

My 92 integra was involved in an accident, and the i damaged the oil pan and the cross member, i replaced the oil pan, the car runs now. but the cross member is bent, i took out the cross member out half way yesterday and i'm wondering can i drive the car without the cross member. I have a feeling the handling will get thrown out of wack. but is it safe.

Also after the wreck i can't shift right. It is very hard to get it to go in the gear, i mean you know when the car is in neutral the stick freely move right to left, mine doesn't , it is hard to move it. Is as if something is stopping it. All of the gears enguage, and function propperly, but you have to use force.
Anybody know what could be wrong.

Sounds alittle un-safe to me.

I almost wrecked my CRX when my cross member broke, so I would not think it is safe at all to drive your Integra without it.

Check your shift linkage it might be bent or stuck on something.
Better use a corssmember. You will need it.

i raised the car, and overall looked at the shift linkage, it doesn't look to be bend or out of shape..

i am driving without the intermediate crossmemeber. it really wo'nt make alot of difference unless you are driving on tracks 24/7. the only thing it'll hurt is if your cars get off the ground, you'll lose some control but how often does that happen unless you get into a accident?? and i you are in a accident than... it doe'snt really matter anymore.

That doesn't sound safe to me at all. Mine was bent in an accident, and caused my passenger front wheel to sit with a lot of positive camber. I spent the $$$ to have it replaced. I figure it's worth it.. I don't want to take any chances.

Honda put it in for the average joe shmoe, not for racecars. I think its more important than you make it seem!

I feared that the handling will get thrown out of wack. but i was thinking about
driving like that for a day or two, because i already have a perfectly fine corss member from another teg, i'm having hard time opening the screws and i'm getting impatient about driving my teggie.

look this is what happened to my oil pan, which i've replaced.

and haters broke my rear windshied for no reason.

If you look closly beneath the driver side tail light, there is a dent. someone made hit my car somehow, with something that hard that it made a dent there, and borke my rear windshied.
