Default Clutch line install (searched)

I am converting a 88 sedan from auto to manual. I've got the manual pedal assembly in but I don't show any signs of a hole or where a hole should go in the firewall. I searched numerous times and all I got was punch a hole (drr), but where is the best place to do it and do I have to secure the grommet so the clutch line has the proper tension on it? Any help is much appreciated.

The best thing to do is to have a 5-speed EF for comparison. I wish i had a pic, but the hole should be below the brake booster to the left.

See where the clutch feeds into the firewall? It's directly below the plugs for the harness.

Was there a hole or did you have to drill?
