Default 4-2-1 headers better than 4-1 for the street? (topic searched)

OK guys/gals, I'm looking to put headers on my car (1994 BONE STOCK Si) and I wanted to ask you guys what you use. Now, with that said, I only really want to know what your personal experiences are, not what you have heard your sister' cousin's boyfriend saw who knew the car builder on the Fast and The Furious. Here's what I am wondering:

1) Which headers should I use? 4-2-1 or 4-1? One piece or two? Powder Coated or chrome?

When I had my 1992 Si, I had powder coated 4-2-1 two-piece DC Sports headers and I loved them, well that is until the welds started cracking. (I know this has nothing to do with the powder coat) Just as DC Sports was about to replace them my car got totaled. Any of you guys/gals have experienced anything like this?

Thank you in advance for your time!

4-1 for all high end HP and 4-2-1 is more for torque, low-mid HP which is prolly better for non high HP motors

What header do you non-turbo guys have then? I can't afford the super-duper badass brand and I could care less if I pay another $150 just to get a slight difference in horsepower.

We're talking middle of the road here.

dc sports. the price on them has gone down significantly in the last few years. goin with dc sports is ur best bet. im currently running a dc 421, but plan on switchin it out for a dc 41 for more high end power. i have a b16 and all my power is in the high end. good luck mang.

i have the 4-1 dc powder coated on my b16 and i have no problems when i first put them on i noticed a slight diff at 7000 rpm but once 8000 came up it was noticable i prefer the 4-1 for high end .....just my opinion.

If your car is bone stock, I would consider going with a 4-2-1. Since it is stock you'll probably notice more on the low-end for the most part.

yeah but one thing nobody's seeming to realize is not everybody has 400 bucks to go out and buy DC sports headers, sometimes the cheapass e-bay ones have to suffice
