Default white smoke after ctach can install

So, I just installed a new block with a mugen head gasket. I put about 400 miles on it last week and parked it for the weekend. Today I put a diferent catch can system on and drive it until it warms up and it starts blowing a lot of white smoke out of the tail pipe. Would the rerouting of the catch can lines have anything to do with the smoke, or am I looking at a head gasket problem?

White smoke = coolant. Have you checked for coolant in your oil?

Most likely coolant. Perhaps the Mugen HG didn't hold up or the bolts were torqued too much or not enough.

No it is not a sweet smell like coolant, it smells like burning oil. Well I took out the new catch can and it was completly full. This is from 5 min. of under 3k rpm. So, I put the old can back on and routed the lines like I had them before. It is still smoking a little, but it had so much oil in the exhuast that it is leaking from the header donut. So I think everything is ok.

So now my question is this. I have the stock pcv system pluged. I am running a line to the 14mm allen plug to the left (driver's side) of the oil filter (bottom of the catch can). A line to the breather on the valve cover (middle of catch can) and a line with a pcv valve to the intake manifold (top of catch can). Any body see a problem with this setup. I know it is not the best way, but I'm working with what I got. Thanks for reading the long post.

I actually have endyn can and had it set up like that on my last motor. When I was installing the new block I totally messed up the pasenger side freeze plug and could not use that port for the tubing.

So, basically I have it like this pic http://www.theoldone.com/artic...g.jpg
except the lines running to the passenger side are going to the driver's side and the line going to the driver's side is going to the valve cover. So do you think I should just plug the other hole on the catch can or run it to the breather on the valvle cover?

Pretty sure? Sounds like theres a little internal conflict with being absolutely sure or not. Either it's a yes or a no!

If you installed the gasket upside-down or backwards, you'd have oil everywhere...

You need to correctly install this thing...I.e., get another plug.

Dunno what else to say but good luck.
