i have a 90 crx si with a mini me y8 head. the head is built, and a friend of mine wants me to trade him striaght a cross for his B18A1. He has every thing i need to swap it in but the mounts. He has the full motor, tranny, ecu, shift linkage, intake, and exhaust, and ditributor. But there aways is a but if it seems to good to be true. the motor is locked up. which i planned on rebuilting it any ways, at leased new piston rings and rods and crank, but he wants my motor now which means on car to drive for me, for at leased a month.

tell me what u thing. do i do the trade or not or buy the obdo intake, ecu, distributor, and trany. then just find a nother ls.

any ways what ever i do i well rebuild it unless the work was done by some one i could trust.

swap a mild build mini me for a full B swap but it doesn't run?

hmm doesn't sound to bad really but do you have another car you can daily?

me I'd go with it but for price you'd spend fixing the B you could put alot more work into your sohc if you wanted.

hard call but I'd vote for going with B but i'm biased

 

the mini me needs new pistons rings but its not to bad yet!
but the more i put into the mini im only going to gain a little bite of hp when in a bseries the stock motor would be great. plus the more i do to the bseries the better hp i will get.
besides the mini me has a pretty good amount of hp as is, is about 160hp
but bseries are way better.
