just pull on it, or pull back the plastic panel and see if the wires is attached/clipped into place, if so, clip it and it should give you some slack to unplug the harness.
just pull the plastic pannel piece off.. its not that hard.. but u will need to use force to pull the pannels off.. its easy though
how long does it take to remove the spoiler and fix the holes and wiring? and what level of difficulty would you rate it? ive been wanting to do this forever but cant find a complete write up on how to do so

what do you mean by fix the holes? weld them shut? bondo? if you are doing either of those you will have to get it painted so that will cost a bit. And i dont know what there is to fix with the wiring. just tuck it back in the hatch. I took my wing off an everything in like 5 min. shouldnt be that hard.

put plastic plugs in the holes to fill them from home depot. Run the wire to a 3rd brake light. We are required in the State of Florida to have 3 brake lights, not sure about anywhere else. Check local laws just an FYI.

to be honest it took me 10 minutes with my friend. i took plastic thing off from top of trunk, unpluged wire, unscrewed the spoiler pulled it out and put caps in the next day. i still got to buy touchup paint to color the caps.

do you have a working break light? the wire you unplugged, where did you put it? thats what i had always wondered about this... and wow 10 minutes only? if it only took 10 minutes, ill probably do mine this weekend finally. oh yah, what kinda caps did you buy? was there a particular kind you needed?

I took off my spoiler in roughly 10 minutes too but I don't have a third light, I'm in cali but I didn't care to wire up a third. In response to cut the wire and tape it...that's stupid, there is a clip you just un-clip. There are six holes needed to be plugged as well. I got plugs from a McMaster Car catalog, in three sizes.
