Default will a 5 lug type R suspension fit with 13inch lenso, with 24in tires?

heres my question, i have a 5 lug suspension on a 97 Honda EK, i really need a set of slicks for my car, i was told that the Type R calibers wont let the 13 inch rims fit on my car? does anyone know about this?? i dont want to get 15inch rims for my slicks!! can i stay with the 5 lug with the typeR calibers and still run with 13inch rims/slicks?? Thanks.

we went through this on my thread about the same thing. (eg with five lug)

from what i gather, it is all in the back spacing. you will need atleast 5" i think. i just said the hell with it and used 15 x 8's.

The only thing i know would be to get GSR calipers or grind off the ones you got.I didnt know Lenso made a 5 lug drag wheel

lenso doesn't make a 5 lug wheel, so really not much point in attempting to get it to work. 15in rims really aren't that bad with slicks.

You're a ***. You can get over yourself because you know this huge "secret" of how to fit 13 inch wheels over ITR brakes.

To the original poster: If you use your ITR calipers and rotors, you're not going to fit a 13 inch wheel, no matter how much back spacing. I'm 5-lug, and decided to keep my 4-lug EX brakes for track days w/ 13 inch Bogarts

this is the thing, i would like to use some kind of 13inch wheels, reguardless if its bogarts or not. I really need them to fit because with the 15inch wheel, its bigger and i wont be able to run bigger slicks on it. With the 13in. wheel i can run 24 1/2 on them and be fine, Whereas with 15in. i dont have much to play with.

i was thinking the same thing, but since i did a jdm 5 lug, i have the accord outter joint. and cant use my old si spindles. but i am happy with my setup, although i am goin to get another set of front wheels with 26" tall tires for my non SFWD races.

Pulled a 1.60 on 24.5x8x15 last week in a hatch at Capitol. You can run 26's on a 15' and be good.

You can run 26's at NOPI at least but you're also facing AWD's and RWD's if you run Turbo Street.

yeah but also it depends on how fast i trap at the spring nats. if i am close to 135 with the 24.5's, then i will definitely get a set of 26's and get my comp license. the car is just about ready with the exception of a cut off switch, but the chassis is cert'd and ready to go. so we shall see.

I just ordered a set of 15x8 Slips for my slicks on the group buy they had a month ago or so. 24.5" slicks will clear if your car isn't dumped and it will still hook pretty good

i need to have more mile per hour!!! if i use the 26x15x8 i wont have that much of a mile per hour, and i dont feel like jacking my car up 5inches!! I have a LS tranny!! so gearing is going to be really long!! this is the reason why i really wanted to stay with the 24 1/2 x 13x8

So let me get this straight!! the only way to run with a 13inch rim is to use the GSR calipers right?? if thats what it is, t han i'll switch the calipers.??

any other feedbacks anyone want to give me?

I ran 24.5x8.5x15 last year and ran consistent low 1.7s and a couple high 1.6s...Nothing wrong with that size....
