Has anyone ever passed smog with a B16? I've heard a new cat-converter may help, and I just had mine replaced. Anybody ever passed?

unless u get it bar'd or do it under the table ur not gona pass visual. might as well spend a extra bucks to get all the smog parts u know to make it legal. what car do u have ? Ca laws suck when it comes to smog.

Just keep all your emission devices....What year is your car? OBD 1 vehicles just do visual inspections and emission testing since they do not have Data Link Connector.

 

You guys think I should take my chances and take it to a regular smog place?

 

do not take your chances because there is no way you're going to pass the visual unless if u know the person who is going to smog your car..i dont think any smog station will even put it on the machine because of the viusual
