Pic request: Additional Valve cover breather fittings
For some reason now that i'm finally ready to drill for new fittings, i can't find any pics. Normally people add these on exhaust side (right where valve cover is baffled).. i just want to see and get some ideas

Beer bottle catch can? Love it!

It looks cool and i might do it, but i really dont see the purpose. I have left the hose off my valve covers factory outlet and not a single drop has came out yet. 600+whp 30 psi.

How big are those fittings and what tap did you use?

is it still necessary...to run a valve cover breather of this sort if my endyne catch kit that taps the back of the block to relieve crank case pressure...and eliminate the factory breather box

I run the Endyn Kit AND the valvecover breathers.
The more sources of ventilation the better. I would say it kinda depends on your power level.

Parts list for my way:
2x 1/2" (male) to 3/8" (male) NPT to hose adapter
2x hose clamps (more if you're running it to a catchcan)
several feet of clear vinyl hose, coolant hose also works fine, with an ID of 3/8"
Assorted drill bits stepping up to slightly under 1/2"
Hand drill with a level built in
1/2" tap and clamp for holding tap (any kit should contain this)
A buttload of extra oil and Q-tips
Teflon tape
Paper towels
Basic hand tools
And beer
I also run the Endyn kit in the DIY fashion

in simple words extends the life of your engine.. and the one on your valve cover does a lot, especially if you don't run breather filter because they become a restriction..

My opinion on that is that most crankcase pressure comes past the rings into the bottom of the engine. The oil galleys are gravity-drain back into the oilpan, so you have air trying to get up the oil galleys out to the escape holes in the valvecover, and oil trying to go downwards through the same holes with only gravity to pull it down. I can't see that being a good thing especially with a lot of blowby.
