so the classic issue. doesn't line up in the corner when its up, causing a whistle on the highway. I took it all apart (first time), read the manual and got it all apart, w/ no issues.

The confusing part was getting it aligned properly. Between the several 10mm bolts available on the door (mounting bolts), the far left one was the only one appeared to be adjustable. (has a up and down area to slide within, and scribe marks).

I loosened all the bolts and put the window up as the manual said, and then pushed the far left 10mm bolt down, causing the whole window unit to tilt in the angle i wanted. I tightened the bolts and it appeared fine and was working properly. I tried it several times.

After getting the door together it now does the same thing as before; half way up it comes out of the rubber seal on the side. I'm back to the "down & up" quick motion to get it back in the seal.

Any suggestions?

 

Check to see if the window track is in place and not ripped or broken at all first. Then with your window in the track about 1/2 way down rock it back and forth in the track. If it moves more than a half inch you probably have a worn out window regulator that is allowing the window to move enough to jump out of track.
