Default b16-b18 interchangible crankshaft??

hey everyone, im wondering if a b16 crankshaft is a direct bolt in on a b18b-c? im not worried about the connecting rods or pistons. but will a b16 crankshaft fit correctly into the b18 block??

im not attempting this in my garage or anything but no one has been able to give me a straight answer.
thanks

yes the crankshaft will fit, as in bolt in correctly, although I dunno what the rod stroke ratio would be if you used the stock b18 parts, probably want to do some measuring and math before you run it

i'd advise against it.. if you did the calculator:

a B16 crank in a complete B18A/B will lower the compression ratio to 5:1, (half of stock) and lower the displacement 200cc's, to that of a B16. doesn't sound too great to me. sounds like a turbo-built b16 with no turbo and no vtec

buddy of mine has a turbo-built b16 with no turbo.. he's done breaking it in, he just hasn't gotten around to buying the turbo. car's kinda slow

to be honest i wouldnt use stock pistons or rods, im kinda chasing the angularity (or however it is spelled) of a b16 and use custom pistons with the wrist pin moved up of coarse making room for longer rods.

this was an idea a friend of mine had for me a while ago and now that im ditching my budget d-series project im considering attempting this.

Correct me if im wrong but, isnt the B16B a B16c5/6 with a B16a crank and special pistons?
