how do you completely disable an airbag
im asking bc i have an s2000 steering wheel/airbag i want to put in my hatch but i dont want the airbag hooked up....bc of this i want to know if there is anyway i can disable/ensure the airbag will not go off
thought of cutting the plug off the airbag and soildering the wires together but i want to be sure before i do this ...please lmk

its going into an ek....and as far as not plugging it in...i want to knowhow to completely disable it...ie i dont want to leave it unplugged and it gets some sudden charge and goes off.....just want to make sure

thats why i was thinking to cut the connector off and soldier the 2 wires together...then cap them....that way no positive and negative charges could get to it at the same time

lets not get into the airbag debate....its personal prference....and personally i prefer to rely on the seatbelt then to have a bag shoot out at extreme speeds and possibly injury me more bc itr went off......you ever actually seen one go off....its actually scary to think thats right next to your face....last thing i want is for it to go off when im not prepared for it

Before destroying the plug, I'd try using a small bead of sylicon sealant, like for a bathroom, and run a line across the opening of the plug. That way if you want to sell it in the future all you'd have to do is pull the sylicon out and the plug should be still intact. Then you have a clean plug and no soildering of wires. And if that doesn't work, Snip and Tuck.
