thats why i was thinking to cut the connector off and soldier the 2 wires together...then cap them....that way no positive and negative charges could get to it at the same time

lets not get into the airbag debate....its personal prference....and personally i prefer to rely on the seatbelt then to have a bag shoot out at extreme speeds and possibly injury me more bc itr went off......you ever actually seen one go off....its actually scary to think thats right next to your face....last thing i want is for it to go off when im not prepared for it

I'd pull the fuse for the airbag circuit. I'll bet that would prevent the SRS light also.

Removing the SRS fuse puts a separation in the wiring for it.

The light will come on.

Before destroying the plug, I'd try using a small bead of sylicon sealant, like for a bathroom, and run a line across the opening of the plug. That way if you want to sell it in the future all you'd have to do is pull the sylicon out and the plug should be still intact. Then you have a clean plug and no soildering of wires. And if that doesn't work, Snip and Tuck.
