I have some ground control coilover's and some KYB agx shocks and was wondering how much you guys have been charged to get new shocks and springs installed on your 96-98 civic ex coupe.

Im thinking about 300maybe but im just wondering so LMK what springs and shocks u had put on and how much u got charged.

 

Your replacing your stock shocks/springs with new shocks and coilovers? Dude, you could do it yourself with hand tools a jack and a jack stand in your driveway.

If you take it to a shop, it shouldn't be much more than a couple hundred though. All they are doing is pulling out one set and putting in a new set. With air tools, its a 30 minute job, tops.

Someone on here will prolly do it very cheaply, it's not a tough job at all. I did mine a few weeks ago and I never touched the suspension before.

your not going to get many replies about people going some where to get ripped off, people are on here to do it themselves, suspension is so easy, for $300 you can get yourself some nice tools at sears and do it yourself, and have tools leftover

 

Don't pay a shop to do it. They'll rape you in prices. Find a local h-t member to do it and pay them. Good learning experience.

 

shop is gonna charge you like 100-200.

thats not to bad because the shop i go to will let me watch and hang out and keep adjusting the coilovers tell its right and stuff. it isnt like a midas or some big business place

Most shops wont install customers parts. They normally require that you use their parts. Lets say they were used, or the new ones are defective and they break, you could go back after them for labor problems, and they would be in a bind not being able to back up their products since they arent theirs.

thats a good price, when i was looking around i was quoted up to $400, but the shop that i went with was like $150, but there were some problems

thats good to know

if they say something like 250 or 300 ill be like is that the lowest u can go because i was quoted 40 to 50bucks each coilover and shock at this other place and see if they go for it but im sure they would charge me cheap. ill find out tomorrow and post it up. thanks for the comments.

and turner7205, the shop i go to is all run by themselfs. its just a couple of guys (1 used to work at a honda dealership) and they just bought the place and started doing jobs for people they are pretty good with what they do tho.

 

find a how to guide and get that **** goin, im puttin in my gc's on agx's next week

This is where I learned. No experience to perfect install in a few hours.

 

i talked to the guys at the shop right by my house and they said $140 to install my coilovers and shocks

 

$460 for spring/strut/rear camber kit/asr brace/itr sway (including the cost of the endlinks which were $80)
