Removing the a/c junk in dash, need a little help
First time posting pictures, lets hope it works. If not will just give direct link to them
Would like to remove the black box under the dash to clear out some space. I know its all for the a/c, which i dont even have.

But taking the **** out and so id hate to set off the airbag. Will the airbag be set off if i start taking **** out, and can i disconnect it?

The questions are a bit n00b but i really dont want to mess anything up with the airbag, since all the wiring and **** is right in my way of removing some ****.
thanks

Disconnect the negative side of the battery for at least 10 minutes before you attempt to remove the dash. As long as you reconnect the SRS wires after the removal of the heater core, then you should be fine.

They will have yellow connectors and will have yellow wire looms.

Hey man, I removed my ac up to the firewall a few months ago and have yet to mess with the box under the dash...did you have to remove the whole dash to get to the box? I would really like to get rid of it as it weighs quite a bit...
Na I just took my glove box out and its all showing. Its in a del sol, might be a bit diff for civic.
Thanks for the info guys.
So all i need to do is disconnect the yellow SRS wires and battery and im good to go to tamper with **** and not set the airbag off?

Is that the only thing i need to disconnect for the airbag not to go off? Battery is disconected aswell.

there are 10mm bolts surrounding that a/c component under the dash. you will need a long extension for a couple of them. i believe it was about 4-6 of them and it will just slide out. dont forget to unhook the pipes under the battery tray
Way ahead of ya dude. Havnt got the bitch to slide ou ive grabed about 4 bolts.. might be a couple suckers hiding.
Can someone else confirm those are the yellow plugs to disconnect the airbag before i start digging deeper? Need those wires and a few others moved to get to the rest of the junk ;(
