need Tech help on 1991 honda accord
I have a 1991 Honda Accord LX coupe with a 2.2L engine. There is a stored computer code that says " 16 fuel injecter problem" (one long flash and 6 short). The car starts and runs great until 3500 RPM on the dot. At 3500 RPM it feels just like a rev limiter kicks in. If I keep the revs below 3500 rpm the car will shift and feels strong. Can anyone give me an idea what I can test to track this down?
No idea of what this could possably be? Someone told me it acted like it was in limp mode. Not sure what that is. Any help would be much appreciated.
So far I have checked OHMS and resistance at the injectors, and all check out ok, I also had a spare distributor and swaped them out, with the same symptom. Fuel pressure is good. With a noid light on the injector plug the light will flash normaly until you rev to 3500 rpm, then the light will flash a BRIGHT on and off. So I know its cutting the injectors when it goes haywire. Also I can spray brake cleaner into the intake when the problem occurs and make it rev out.
I agree it's in Limp-home mode, and because of the 16 code at that.
It's reported out as an Injector System related issue. The only component which directly reports to the ECM is:

Injector resistor pack.
I'd rout around and dig up the test procedures and give yours a once-over.
