Default Radiator hose ? on a 5th gen

Coming out of the firewall, they are two radiator hoses, one has a valve on it, the other runs to the drive side of the engine.. Is the one that goes towards the drives side, the one that goes to the water pump? Thanks...

i think # 4 hose goes to the water pump inlet tube,,,,,,,the metal tube on the back side of the t-stat housing , ,# 2 goes to the head,.. below the distributor

I am trying to flush my radiator with one of the prestone kit, and I need the one that comes out of the firewall and does NOT go to the water pump..
