Non-vtec soch distributor help please!!!
This may not make much sense but i'm going to try anway. I'm having a problem with a new, used, distributor that i purchased for a '91 civic dx hatchback, stock motor/distributor. The stock distributor has a circular, 5 wire plug in, but the donor distributor, supposedly from a '91 non-vtec sohc, came with a square, 7 wire plug. I'm trying to figure out a way to make them work together, hopefully without cutting open and trying to splice wires together. Any help or experience in the matter is extremely appreciated!!!
Stock- Circle 5 wire distributor plug
Donor- Square 7 wire distributor plug
options- acessory adaptor or diagram for rewiring???!?!?!?!?!

The donor one sounds to be off the SI model, or an HF model. Either way, it is ment for a multi-point fuel injection system (i,e four fuel injectors) why your chassis and motor combination comes with a dual point system (the ghetto fab way for good gas mileage). You can't make the MPFI distributor work on an DPFI motor.
not sure what you have, but a stock DX distributor has a square 5-wire connector and the SI/HF distributors have a round 7-wire connector - OBD0 connectors are white (turn kind of yellowish with age) - what number is on the distributor? should be on the side of one of the attaching legs
